Thank you very much for the exhibition of paintings “Controlling Chaos” by Julita Krysztopa!
“Controlling Chaos” is a series of paintings composed of three categories: Love, Darkness, and Dance. Each category addresses the overarching theme of controlling chaos in life. Love is depicted as tenderness in the simplest and most familiar gesture – the kiss. It recurs as an indispensable element of this feeling through diverse couples, demonstrating that love applies equally to everyone and is the highest need. Darkness is presented in a short series: “Babońce,” a hyperbole intended to emphasize the irrational nature of some expectations regarding the female body. The Dance category explores the art of controlling human motor skills through movements and figures. The paintings were created using Frysztota’s signature technique, in which acrylics “imitate watercolors.”

Creativity is an integral part of her life. She often leaves ample room for interpretation of her works, treating painting as a communication with the viewer. Her works are characterised by originality and uniqueness, and their ambiguous nature encourages reflection on the perversity of fate and the chaos of life.
