DKŚ Anniversary │ Concert by Urszula Dudziak

On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Śródmieście Cultural Centre in Białystok, we invite you to a gala celebration. The evening will be graced by a concert by Urszula Dudziak, a legend of the Polish music scene.

The concert will take place on 5 March at 7 p.m. in the Aula Magna of the Branicki Palace. Admission tickets are required for the concert – they can be collected from the DKŚ headquarters (ul. Kilińskiego 13, 2nd floor) from 23 February from 10 a.m. 9:00.

It all began within the walls of a historic tenement house, which once hosted Białystok merchants, and today is bustling with energy, passion and music. Every year, over 500 people hone their talents here in ballet and dance, music, art and graphic design studios. Artistic education at the highest level is the foundation on which DKŚ builds future generations of artists, ensuring their development under the guidance of professional instructors. However, the Śródmieście Cultural Centre is more than just classes in classrooms – it is a space open to anyone who wants to create. It is here that artists, historians and enthusiasts find a common language, creating exhibitions and lectures that have become a permanent fixture in the city’s cultural calendar.
The institution has also become a true ambassador of the Baroque in the region, thanks to the successes of ensembles such as Capella Antiqua Bialostociensis, led by Katarzyna Gulińska, and Ars Decorum, led by Joanna Mytnik-Daniluk. These are groups that passionately restore the splendour of bygone eras. Thanks to the Baroque Gardens of Art Festival, Białystok has made its mark on the map of the most important events promoting early music and dance in Poland.

Urszula Dudziak is considered one of the best jazz singers in the world. She has performed and recorded with musicians such as Krzysztof Komeda, Bobby McFerrin, Herbie Hancock, Nina Simone, Sting and many others. For years, she has been delighting audiences with her extraordinary vocal range, perfect intonation and unique vocal technique. However, music is only part of Urszula Dudziak – a woman who possesses immeasurable reserves of optimism, which she bestows on everyone around her. It is enough to spend a moment in her presence to understand that this energy is a real superpower. After a long break, the artist decided to release her next album independently, on her own terms, with the help of musicians and long-time collaborators.
