‘I observed the sea and its vibrant surroundings: colourful umbrellas on the beaches, ships and boats in the harbours. I was captivated by the reflection of the water and the roadside plane trees, whose trunks formed almost abstract patterns.’ – Krystyna Humienna discusses her work.

For the artist, the creative process is closely linked to her musical education. Painting pictures was accompanied by writing poems and composing songs, which the artist calls ‘the correlation of muses’.

An elderly woman with a microphone in her hand, dressed in an elegant black and burgundy gown, speaks or sings in a bright room resembling an art gallery.

Krystyna Humienna is a painter, musician and writer. She graduated from higher music studies (she worked as a music teacher) and the European Academy of Arts in Warsaw (diploma in 2001).
