“If I Were a Rich Man” Performance by Lumbago Cabaret NEW DATE

We cordially invite you to the premiere of the play “If I Were Rich” by Lumbago Cabaret (dir. Adam Zieleniecki) on a new date!

The performance will take place during the Jan Kiliński Street Festival (May 25) at 7:00 p.m. 18:00 at the “Śródmieście” Community Center in Białystok (13 Jan Kiliński street, second floor). Free admission tickets from the previous date are required.

This is a story about the lives of people in pre-war Białystok – a city where different cultures and nationalities met. The play focuses on the everyday life of the residents and their ability to coexist despite differences. The titular “wealth” does not mean wealth, but a wealth of knowledge, experience and mutual understanding. The play shows in a humorous way how Poles, Jews, Germans and Tatars lived in harmony, respecting their traditions and creating a community full of kindness. Viewers will have the opportunity to see how the residents of Białystok celebrated and cooperated together. The message of the play is simple, but timeless – despite differences, you can live in friendship.
