We cordially invite you to the Jan Kiliński Street Festival, which will take place on May 25 (Sunday) from 12:00!
The event will begin at 12:00 with a speech by the Mayor of Białystok, Tadeusz Truskolaski. The artistic part will be opened by young artists from the “Śródmieście” Cultural Center. The following will perform: the vocal-instrumental duet of Adrianna Tylman and Michał Breczko, the “Squillo” Choir, the Ballet and Dance Studio, and the “Capella Antiqua Bialostociensis” Early Music and Dance Ensemble with the dance study “A Man Made to Measure”!
We also invite (adults) to take part in a fashion contest during this year’s Jan Kiliński Street Festival! The rules of the contest are very simple – just dress in the style of the 1920s. – 30. and register your willingness to participate on the day of the event between 12:00 and 15:00 – DK “Śródmieście” stand in the tent. This year, you can win jewellery as well as a cash prize. The prizes in kind are sponsored by Coralove, and the main prize – PLN 500 – is sponsored by the PodlaskieNews editorial office. All winners will be invited to the stage at 12:00. 15:45.
In addition to the contestants, fashion creations from the 1920s and 1930s will be presented by young people from the Stanisław Staszic Secondary School and Artistic Center. The fashion show will take place at 12:40 and 14:15.
Zabytkowe samochody i motocykle z kolekcji Muzeum Starej Motoryzacji i Techniki MOTO RETRO będą prawdziwą gratką dla fanów motoryzacji. Dodatkowo spacerując ulicą Kilińskiego, natkniemy się na plenerową wystawę fotografii Bolesława Augustisa, przygotowaną przez Galerię im. Sleńdzińskich. Podlaski Instytut Kultury zaprasza na warsztaty fokstrota, pokazy filmu „Pani minister tańczy”, a także zajęcia plastyczne „Pocztówki z przeszłości”. Muzeum Uniwersytetu Medycznego i Pałacu Branickich zabierze uczestników na fascynujące spacery z przewodnikiem i multimedialną podróż w czasie w swoich piwnicach. Będzie również możliwe zwiedzanie Pałacyku Gościnnego oraz mechanizmu zabytkowego zegara w Bramie Wielkiej „Gryf”. W Muzeum Wojska w Białymstoku będzie można przenieść się w militarny świat tamtych lat, zwiedzając wystawy, tworząc odznaki pułkowe. Natomiast w wojskowym atelier będzie można zrobić sobie pamiątkowe zdjęcie z rekonstruktorami. Doznania wizualne zapewni Niezależna Galeria Sztuki Marchand podczas „Swobodnego malowanie z artystami” oraz wystawa „Naszymi oczami” Pracowni Plastycznej Domu Kultury „Śródmieście”.
During the event, there will be a retro photo booth where you can take free souvenir photos. At 2:30 p.m. there will be a concert “Echo kina” performed by the band GrandeVous. An unusual accent of the event will be a performance by a violinist on the balcony of the tenement house, which will be a nice break between stage concerts.
