Painting exhibition ‘Echoes of emotions’ by Ewelina Naumnik

The official opening of Ewelina Naumnik’s painting exhibition as part of the Municipal Art Salon will take place on 22 October (Tuesday) at 6 pm.

The works are an expression of the author’s experiences and inner experiences along her artistic path. Expressive painting is a way to express in colour and form what is often difficult to describe in words.

– Working with colour is a constant journey for me – moving from one shade to another, discovering new tones and combinations. The layers I apply to the sub-painting symbolise not only the creative process but also my inner transformation. Sometimes I hide certain layers in order to bring them to light at the end, which is analogous to discovering one’s own soul – Ewelina Naumnik says.

The works on display were made using a mixed technique with acrylic paints, wax and resin on wood. They are large formats including 140 cm x 80 cm, 100 cm x 100 cm. ‘Echoes of emotions’ is an invitation to explore together the art and feelings that have shaped the author. The viewer of the works has the chance to find their own feelings and memories in them.

Works impressed in prestigious galleries across Europe

Painter, illustrator, photographer, born in 1975 in Bialystok. Her work is deeply rooted in the emotions that accompanied her during times of social and political change. As a mature woman, she began to explore her love of art, discovering new horizons in it. She is fascinated by the way other artists portray reality and enjoys communicating herself through painting, photography and printmaking. She draws inspiration from the classics of abstract expressionism, such as Helen Frankenthaler, Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko, as well as contemporary artists such as Gunther Forg and Kristina Quinones. In 2018, she was awarded the Platinum Prize by the French ArtMajeur Gallery, and her work has been presented in exhibitions such as ‘Revelazioni’ at Merlino Gallery in Florence and ‘Chromatic Vibrations’ at 809 Art Gallery in Milan. Her participation in the XII Art Biennale in Florence and exhibitions at Warsaw’s Galeria P-14 confirm her growing position on the art scene.
