Paintings by the Bialystok artist Magdalena Dziejma will be on display at the “Śródmieście” Community Center in Bialystok. The opening of the “Intraverse” exhibition will take place on January 24, 2023 at 18:00.
Magdalena Dziejma was born in Tomaszów Mazowiecki. Currently she lives and works in Białystok. She is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. After graduation, she made commissioned works – these were portraits painted or drawn in pencil. She has devoted the last three years to creating original paintings.
Painting is as important as family and children
– I have been painting my paintings for almost 3 years and I have already completed 4 painting cycles. This is the result of constantly looking for a way to express myself, i.e. painting that will reflect my own inner universe. Painting is as important to me as family and children. It completes me in every aspect, being an inseparable element of my everyday life – says Magdalena Dziejma.
The works emanate peace and mystery
The exhibition at the “Śródmieście” Community Center in Białystok will feature a series of 16 paintings made on canvas in the acrylic technique.
All works are characterized by unconventional color solutions, which emanate with peace and mystery.
– I have prepared 16 paintings for the exhibition, which I hope will bring the viewers closer to my “Intraverse” – says the author of the works.
The motifs on the canvases are presented in a metaphorical way, leaving room for the recipient’s own interpretation. A recurring element in the works is the figure of a woman – an expression of female emotionality, introducing the viewer into a kind of dialogue with the works at the exhibition.
The exhibition can be viewed from Monday to Friday from 10:00-18:00 at the “Śródmieście” Community Center in Białystok (Jana Kilińskiego 13 street, second floor), admission is free.
The exhibition will be open until February 24, 2023.
