‘Retrovision’ exhibition of the Young Graphic Talents of the Centre for Contemporary Art

You are invited to the ‘Retrovision’ exhibition of the Young Graphic Talents of the DKŚ!

The exhibition project was the initiative of three young graphic designers – Ursula Wozniak, Kalisa Petrovska and Ida Urbanowicz.

The works are an original look at the 1920s and 1930s by female artists who reinterpret this historical period through their unique graphic methods. Urszula Wozniak brings the spirit of the inter-war period to life through a digitally processed photographic session. Kalisa Petrovska, meanwhile, presents portraits of women of cinema and theatre, created using the digital painting technique, within which she has developed her own distinctive style and working methods. Ida Urbanowicz presents a retrostylization of contemporary animation characters and uses them as merch-individual clothing line.

The works were created at the DKŚ Graphic Design Studio under the direction of instructor Octavius Stępień.

The opening of the Young Graphic Talents’ “Retrovision” exhibition will take place on May 21 (Tuesday) at 18:00 at the “Śródmieście” Community Center in Białystok (13 Jan Kiliński street, second floor). The exhibition can be viewed until June 7, Tuesday to Friday 10:00-17:00, free entrance.
