“Spring Soundscape” is a concert by the Tre Destini ensemble, which will take place on April 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the “Śródmieście” Community Center in Białystok. Free entrance!
Performers:
Paweł Kalata – pianist. A first-year master’s student at the Białystok branch of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, studying in the piano class of Dr. Katarzyna Makal-Żmuda. He completed the first level of music school on the piano and the second level on the organ at the Rev. Antoni Chlondowski State Music School in Lutomiersk. He has participated in masterclasses led by artists such as Olaf John Laneri and Lukas Geniušas. He performs as a vocalist with the Ensemble Koło Muzyki Dawnej. He gives solo recitals, performs in chamber and vocal ensembles, and is an active organist.
Michalina Piotrowicz – flutist, originally from Kraków. A recent graduate of the Białystok branch of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, where she studied flute under Dr. Krystyna Gołaszewska. She is currently a member of the Podlasie-based ensemble “Clann Ceoil,” with which she performs Irish music on Polish stages, and a student in the Creative Rehabilitation with Art Therapy program at the University of Białystok. Additionally, she is a member of the CORda Cracovia orchestra as part of the annual “Wawel at Dusk” festival.
Magdalena Sikora—a flutist and native of Kraków. She graduated from the Białystok branch of the Medical University of Białystok, where she studied flute under Dr. Krystyna Gołaszewska. She completed her bachelor’s degree at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, studying under Dr. Agnieszka Bartoszewicz. She is currently pursuing a degree in Speech Therapy and Audiology at the Medical University of Białystok. She pursues her passion for working with children and youth through her activities with the Kraków Branch of the Society of Friends of Children and by teaching a flute class.
The Tre Destini ensemble initially began as a chamber music group formed during college classes, but it has stood the test of time and has maintained the same lineup to this day. The members are united by a passion for performing live chamber music. The trio’s repertoire includes classical music—ranging from Romantic compositions to contemporary works. They readily perform pieces by both Polish composers and those of other nationalities, such as Japanese. The ensemble frequently performs on stages in Białystok, participating in concert series organized by, among others, the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic.
