St. Nicholas Day Concert

On 6 December, Izabela Szafrańska and her band will perform at the Municipal Art Salon, with a guest appearance by our Early Music Ensemble Ars Decorum!

The director of the Śródmieście Cultural Centre in Białystok invites you to a unique event as part of the Municipal Art Salon – a Santa Claus Concert, which will take place on 6 December 2025 at 6 p.m. in the Janusz Korczak Hall of the Faculty of Education Sciences at the University of Białystok (ul. Świerkowa 20).

Izabela Szafrańska will perform with her band, consisting of:
Mateusz Pliniewicz – violin
Bartłomiej Tyburowski – keyboards
Mariusz Kozłowski – saxophones, clarinet
Krzysztof Łochowicz – guitar
Maciek Magnuski – bass guitar
Kornel Kondrak – drums
During the St. Nicholas Day evening, the Ars Decorum Early Music Ensemble will make a guest appearance, complementing the unique atmosphere of the event with their music.

Izabela Szafrańska is a singer of extraordinary sensitivity and impressive musical versatility, whose voice moves and stays in your memory. She has been involved in music since her early childhood, and her career has been a consistent path of artistic development and passion. She is also a graduate of cultural studies at the University of Białystok.
She has won numerous prestigious music awards both on the national and international stage, including first place at the Student Song Festival in Krakow and the Grand Prix at the OFPA National Artistic Song Festival in Rybnik.
She became known to a wide audience thanks to her participation in popular television programmes. In 2013, she was a finalist in ‘Must Be the Music’, and five years later she reached the semi-finals of the ninth edition of ‘The Voice of Poland’, delighting the judges and viewers with her distinctive style and depth of interpretation.
In 2019, she debuted with the album Z bursztynu (From Amber), an original project featuring music by Marcin Partyka and lyrics by outstanding poets, which showcased the full extent of her interpretative skills. In March 2022, she presented her second solo album, Żydowska ulica / Jewish Street, a tribute to Jewish culture, which has been one of the most important sources of her creative inspiration for years.
Izabela Szafrańska performs in Poland and abroad, including the United States, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Moldova, the Czech Republic, Russia, Denmark and Belarus. Her concerts are emotional encounters with music, where tradition intertwines with modernity, and artistic passion is combined with a deep respect for multicultural heritage.
