We cordially invite you to the exhibition “Through Our Eyes” of the participants of the Art Studio! The opening is on May 20 (Tuesday) at 6:00 p.m.!
The Municipal Art Salon will feature participants from the Art Studio of the Culture Center “Śródmieście” in Białystok. The exhibition consists of 60 works that were created throughout the school year under the supervision of instructors Olga Wyszkowska and Natalia Yefymchuk.
Young artists use art to convey their own view of the world. The works are full of colour and fantasy. They were made using mixed media – you can see acrylic painting, oil pastels and crayons, which are combined in a surprising way. Without a doubt, the various textures and techniques add an individual character to each work. The exhibition presents an extraordinary gallery of animal portraits, transferred in time to the elegant 1920s and 1930s. . Here we will see, among others, a dog proudly presenting itself in a tailcoat, a cat with a nonchalantly placed hat, and a seal with pearls. The exhibition shows, above all, the creativity of children, but also their rich imagination and extraordinary ability to observe and transform reality.
– This look “through their eyes” – casual, witty and full of colour – encourages you to break away from everyday life for a moment and enter a world where an elegant rabbit and a cat in feathers are something completely natural – says instructor Olga Wyszkowska.
The opening of the exhibition “Through Our Eyes” by the Art Studio participants will take place on May 20 (Tuesday) at 6:00 p.m. at the “Śródmieście” Cultural Center in Białystok (ul. Jana Kilińskiego 13, 2nd floor, exhibition hall).
