“Śródmieście” Community Center in Białystok invites you to the Jan Kiliński Street Festival, which will take place on May 28 (Sunday) at 12:00-20:00.
Musical „Charm of the 1930s”
This year’s theme is the 1930s. . The character of the event will be given by numerous music and dance performances prepared by the participants of the “Śródmieście” Community Center classes: instrumentalists, singers, the Ballet Centre, the “Squillo” Choir and the “Capella Antiqua Bialostociensis” Early Music and Dance Ensemble. Then, the Zimne Dranie band will invite the audience to join in the fun, enchanting the audience with “live” music from the 1930s. The event will end with the “Umbrella Dance Party”, to which the Mayor of Białystok invites.
Fashion styling competition
Fashion styles from the 1930s. will be presented by students of ZSTiO school. Fashion show will take plac in the space of Kilińskiego Street. Additional fashion inspirations can be found at the exhibition of clothing inspired by the 1930s at the “Śródmieście” Community Center, which the institution has prepared in cooperation with the Sleńdziński Gallery. Each of the participants of the event has a chance to play the role of a stylist and present their own creation in the style of the 1930s thanks to the fashion styling competition. The best ideas will be highlighted and rewarded.
Visiting exhibitions and the Guest Palace, art workshops, antique cars and many other attractions
The event is attended by, among others: the Army Museum, the Marchand Art Gallery, the Sleńdziński Gallery, Museum of the History of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Medical University of Bialystok, SLJEDZIK souvenir shop, Technical and General School Complex with Integration Departments in Białystok and nearby cafes and restaurants: KOKU Sushi, Maison du Café, Fly High Coffee & Food. In each of these places there are attractions prepared especially for the celebration of the charming Białystok street – Jan Kilińskiego. Admission is free to all events.
